South Korea will be sending representatives to the World Cosplay Summit this year! The Partner Organization is going to be Samsung Everland Co. Ltd, which is in fact the largest theme park in the country. It invites over 9 million guests every year and according to Wikipedia is the 6th largest in attendance among theme parks around the world. The cosplay event will take place 2 times with a preliminary round and then a final round; this year they will be held next month on the 10th and 17th of June. It will be interesting to see the outcome of the event and all are looking forward to meeting the representatives when the final decision is made. More information about the event to come!

very nice to have south korea on the WCS, they share a lot with Japan for good and bad, but I believe that we will be able to share with more poeple from different countries is an amazing experience.

The battle at Nagoya is about to start!
Good luck to all the contestants.

Thanks for your comments everyone, I think its really great that South Korea, Denmark and Mexico are taking part this year as well. Cosplay truely is a world wide art and hobby, every year it impresses me to see people from different countries getting together and sharing their passion for cosplay. People can see the differences and similarities in the way cosplay is done in different countries and hopefully make lifelong friends in far away places as well.
