After the 30 to 50 member teams leave the stage there can be a mass of people trying to take pictures of the. Considering the stage managers want to keep the main stage moving smoothly, having a side stage specifically for a group picture is a good idea. Here is a shot of a team posing and getting pictures taken of them at the side stage.
