The 2008 representatives for Osaka - Yui and Mino - had a live performance in Nagoya a few days ago. I knew that they did performances but I didn't realize what their performance was all about until I saw them on stage.

The live house was actually very close to my place, maybe a 5 minute drive. Considering the 2 are living in Tokyo now and have a radio show in Osaka, being able to see them in Nagoya was a treat. They were glad to be back in town as they are both originally from Nagoya. The pair were performing as a part of a greater event which happens on a regular basis in different parts of Japan called Super Cosplesson and there were performers there from about 3:30 in the afternoon. As each performer took their turn on the stage their own group of dedicated fans came out to the dance floor. Each singer interacted with their fans and their song performances corresponded with the chants, arm swings and dancing from the audience. It was quite a site to see, different from what you see at a standard concert.

If I had my flash on the Yui and Mino did not come out well and there was this distracting flash of light. If I turned the flash off the pictures would be super exposed as you can see above. I included this one because it came out alright and you can see their movement along with the swinging light sticks in the crowd. The performances finished off with a photo opportunity with all the singers and then they cleared out the dance floor, pulled out tables and had a signing session.

Afterward we went out for dinner with Yui and Mino. In this picture you can see Yui and Mino, TVA staff and the organizers of the Cosplesson event. I am taking the picture :) We had a bite to eat and a drink and I was really interested to hear how their trip to New York went. They had an awesome time with Sonnya and Renee of team USA 2008. They were particularly blown away by the size of Renees house! We finished off a great evening with a little karaoke. They will be in town again in January, I will try to get out to their event at that time too!
