Jessica Allie and Tessa Beattie of Haraju2girls will be representing Australia in Japan next year. They have taken part in the Australia finals at Animania before so coming out on top this year came from improvements on previous years.

The Australia finals this year were once again the competition results of 6 regional rounds in 4 locations around the country.

Its good to see a team that has entered the preliminaries multiple times. See you next summer Tess and Jess!

Ginevra Fusari and Daniela Maiorana were selected on Sunday to represent Italy at WCS 2011.

They did a stunning performance of Medusa and Honlon Shiko Kanan Junrei from Petshop of Horrors.

Their performance included use of buugengs and their costume design set them apart from other entries.

As with Australia, Brazil and Korea, Mexico has set up a network of regional stages throughout the country leading up to the national final at TNT in Mexico City. The regional in Guadalahara City, Jalisco State was held and the winners were Carolina Torres and Noemi Abundis performing from the series "Umineko no naku koro ni".

There will be 10 regional rounds around the country and 20 teams will compete for the chance to represent Mexico at WCS 2011 next year. You can see their performance on the WCS Mexico blog here!

Next Mexico regional coming up is on October 23th at Midori Matsuri in Mexico City.

With 10 different regional rounds in the works for Mexico expect several updates over November and December on the topic. Each team will be going to TNT in Mexico City next year to compete in the Mexico national Final.

Last weekend on October 24th the second regional was held at Midori Matsuri in Mexico City. The winning team was Manuel Miron Baqueiro and Teresa Jurado Ampudia with a performance from Tsubasa Chronicles.

Last weekend the Korea preliminary was held at the Everland Theme Park near Seoul. The preliminary is usually held in the early summer so doing it in October is a big shift. The process in selecting the winners started over the summer with 20 teams sending in videos between July 1st and August 31st. The next round was held on stage for 11 teams on September 26th. The final selection took place on October 24th for 6 teams. Here are the 2011 Korea representatives:

Tasha performed as the character Kaiser X and Shinme was the monster Ranjang from Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite.
