Partner Organization: FICOMIC (Federation of Professional Comic Institutions) Established in 1989, this non-profit group strives to develop comics and comic related culture. The organization is behind one of the largest Manga events in Spain “X Salon del Manga” (approx. 45,000 guests) and the international comic event “Salo Internacional del Comic de Barcelona” (approx. 85,000 guests).

< Spanish Preliminary Competition Course of Events >

	The World Cosplay Summit 2006 preliminary contest was held on October 30th at the Manga/Anime event “Salon del Manga” in Barcelona, Spain which took place between October 29th to November 1st.

	Organizing staff from FICOMIC and WCS elected 5 potential representative teams.

	A voting are was set up at the event and one of the 5 teams was chosen as the Spanish representatives through a general vote process.
