Partner Organization : Animexx
Animexx has an online membership of over 75,000 making it the largest web
based Japanese pop-culture organization in Germany. With 3 million hits
on its web site per day Animexx has good reason to be proud of having
one of Europe’s largest Japanese pop-culture web sites. <www.animexx.de> Animexx
is also the main organizer behind Germany’s largest anime convention
“Connichi”.

Competition Course of Events >
The Japanese Manga/Anime
event “Connichi” was held on September 16th - 18th in Kassel, Germany.
Along with other proceedings, the World Cosplay Summit 2006 candidate
selection photo shoot was also conducted. Number of entries: 44 teams (88 cosplayers)
Organizing staff
from Animexx and WCS elected 5 potential representative teams.
Animexx then conducts
a vote among its members (internet vote) and the German representative
team is chosen.
The German representative
team candidates have already been elected
and the vote to choose
the German representatives has ended.
The selection process lasted for over a month.
