On August 2nd 2006 the
second annual preliminary contest in Nagoya for the WCS 2006 was held.
This time at the WCS 2006 people gathered from 9 countries across
the world. Representatives from 8 foreign countries, Japanese representatives
from the Tokyo competition, and the voting on the web had already
been decided, and so this competition was to be the last.
The competition was held at Club Upset, next to Ikeshita station on
the Higashiyama subway line in Nagoya City.
From 6:30pm onwards for
one and a half hours there was a great live show with many artists
with collaboration from artists of Victor Entertainment. There was
a great deal of enthusiasm inside the venue as they performed many
songs that everyone knew.

After the awesome live
performance finished, there was a brief break before an image was
suddenly projected onto the stage. Look at the progress that has been
made from the beginnings of the Cosplay Summit in 2003!
The competition started
at 7:50pm. The MC, Mika Nakayama from TV Aichi, took to the stage.
