After the performances finished and the judges were busy with their tough decision making, none other than Masaaki Endo (member of JAM Project and singer of numerous anime songs) performed 3 songs for everyone.
And now, for the final announcements from the judges.
First there were a number of awards presented: the Cure award, Endo-san award, Cosplay Festa award, Tokyo Dome City award and the “Grooming” award. (Not presented in that particular order) From there the 3rd place and 2nd place awards were presented and finally the group to win the 1st place award was….
Strike Force Gundam and Kira Yamato!
Having all of the cosplayers lined up on stage was indeed a sight to see.
Finally all of the participants and judges got together on stage for a commemorative photo.
After the preliminary competition, Strike Force Gundam and Kira Yamato pose for a picture with Cindy.

    ★I am a young healthy man with a great curiosity about everything and possessed of a great variety of hobbies. Due to these numerous hobbies I have recently felt that I have been spreading myself a little thin.
    ★During high school I got into club music, I was into dance, euro-beat, techno, and trance music. About a year ago I found my love for cosplay at a dance party and a half year or so after that I started getting involved in Gundam suit creation. I am now thoroughly enjoying my life under the tutelage of a Gundam suit creation master.

    ★When I was abroad for a while I got interested in Halloween holiday customs and this interest continued into cosplay. Cosplay for me is not about wanting to completely become a character so much as providing pleasure or a surprise for others. I want to continue my efforts in creating suits to please not only other cosplayers but non-cosplayers as well.
