May 19th (Fri) Commencement of entry for cosplayers for the first preliminary competition
June 26th (Mon) Closing date for applications
June 27th (Tue) 5 groups of Web representative nominees selected by judges
June 28th (Wed) Competition results mailed to all applicants.
＊All 5 groups of selected cosplayer nominees to be voted for on the web. For this, they must film & then submit a video (self-promotion & performance). If you don’t have a video, please contact the TVA staff.

>First Preliminaries （Application Screening）
May 26th (Fri) Application submissions to TV Aichi [World Cosplay Summit 2006 Official Homepage]open.
*Entry is limited to those able to participate in the 2nd preliminary competition on the 25th June.
June 19th (Mon) Closing date for applications
June 20th (Tue) Judges select 10-15 groups from the participants in the 2nd preliminary round
June 21st (Wed) Competition results mailed to all applicants.
*The 10-15 teams (planned) participating in the contest held as part of the ‘Cosplay Festa’ that pass the first stage will, in the second Preliminary Competition on June 25th ’Cosplay Festa’, ,receive a [Cosplay Land Free Ticket] as a prize for passing the first stage.

June 25th (Sun) [Cosplay Festa in Tokyo Dome City] Japan Representative Preliminary Contest commences
Judges decide the 5 groups to be representative nominees
From the 5 representative nominee groups, the team which receives the greatest applause from the audience will become Japan’s representative team from Tokyo.

May 26th (Fri) Submission of applications begin through T.V. Aichi’s[World Cosplay Summit2006 Official homepage].
*Entry is limited to those able to participate in the 2nd preliminary competition on August 2nd.
July 2nd (Sun) Closing date for applications
July 3rd (Mon) Judges decide the 5 groups to be representative nominees
July 4th (Tue) Competition results mailed to all applicants.
*As the 2nd preliminaries will be held right before the World Cosplay Summit 2006, it is expected that winner from the 5 groups of nominated cosplayers will take part in the same costumes on 6th August at the World Cosplay Championships.

August 2nd (Wed) Japan’s representative from Nagoya will be selected from the 5 nominated representatives at the [World Cosplay Summit 2006 Japan Representative Preliminary Competition]event.
