WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT 2008

The Cosplay parade started at Osu shopping arcade!
On the 3rd of August (Sun), cosplayers representing the 13 countries appearing at the championship headed the parade, with regular [casual] cosplayers following behind. The parade was about 100 meters long!
About 300 cosplayers walked around Osu shopping arcade in the crowded Osu festival. They then took photos in front of Osu temple. Following that, they moved to the specially prepared stage in the precinct of the temple, and then the MC, the announcer Miss. Arai, kicked off the event.
When cosplayers from overseas answered questions about their favorite anime in Japanese, the audience cheered.
Cosplayers struck their favorite poses at the photo session on stage in front of many jostling cameramen.

Spain: Belldandy and Morisato Seiichi from "Ah! Megami sama"

China: Suzaku from "Petshop of Horrors" and Lenne "Final fantasy X2"

America: Small lady and Elios from "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon"

Germany: Wedding Peach from "Mad Love wars Wedding Peach" and Alice from "Moetan"

Singapore: Hatsune Miku and Kaito from "Vocaloid"

Brazil: Ada Wong from "Bio hazard 4" and Ken from "Street fighter"

Italy: Mizunashi Akari and Alicia Florence from "Aria"

Japan (Tokyo): Hagiwara Yukiho from "The Idolmaster" and Kagamine Rin from "Vocaloid"
