Editora JBC is the largest publisher of manga in Brazil, with over 500 titles published. Besides manga, food, culture and Japanese language titles, they publish a specialty magazine introducing Japanese culture “Made in Japan” has been published for over 8 years. The company has also published over 40 series’ that are related to Japanese culture. The preliminary contest is one of the top 10 events in Brazil. Fifteen groups from each region compete, and final selection is judged through videos.

Brazil Preliminary Round Course of Events

[1]	Preliminary rounds were held in 13 places within Brazil & 1 round on line.
[2]	Stage performances were held on June 20th (Sat) at the World Cosplay Summit 2009 JBC Brazil Stage (the final preliminary round). The judges chose one team (of 2 people) out of 14 teams + WCS2008 Champion team-Gabriel&Jessica- to be Brazil’s representatives.
