1st place of 10th Preliminary Round, Renan and Geraldo will be the Brazilian representatives on WCS 2009's world final.
Brazilian cosplayers shook the building structures of Hakka Events Hall, in Sao Paulo city, during the final of WCS 2009 - JBC Brazil Stage.
Not even the cold weather could intimidate the participants Renan Aguiar de Castro and Geraldo Jose Cecilio Junior, that showed charisma and self-confidence on their roles of Brooke and Franky. They obtained 235 out of 250 points and, with a musical number of One Piece, conquered the first place.
"Today was my sister's wedding, and I missed it to be here. We have been practicing everyday during the last three months. We actually didn't expect to win, but we are going to represent Brazil the best way we can", Geraldo declared, exultant, right after the victory.
The second place went to Petra Leao and Alessandra Fernandes, that interpreted AKIRA and obtained 228.5 points. They also got the second place in 2008. The third place was Monica and Mauricio Somenzari, world champions of 2006, that based their performance on the game Final Fantasy 10, with 227.5 points. The fourth place went to Jeffrey Haiduck and Amanda Simola Tan, that represented the game Final Fantasy 6 and obtained 223.5 points.
