Paulo Roberto and Mara Suely, from the state of Ceara, are the 2nd finalist double in WCS 2009 - JBC Brazil Stag
The second selective for the Brazilian stage of World Cosplay Summit 2009 took place in Fortaleza city (State of Ceara), at the event SANA (Super National Display of Animes). While our 2008 champions, Jessica and Gabriel, are preparing themselves to the big final in Japan, Brazil chooses its next representatives.
The winners from Sana selective were Paulo Roberto de Melo and Mara Suely da Silva, with the cosplays of Mitsurugi and Taki, characters from the game Soul Calibur.
The double that got the second place, and the right to dispute the online repechage in 2009, were Felipe Lima and Zilda Carolina Dias. They were dressed as Archer and Rin Tosaka, from tha anime/ game Fate Stray Night.
Sana 8 was also a good opportunity for the fans to see some of the greatest icons of animesongs today: Kouji Wada, who wrote many songs for the anime Digimon, Yumi Matsuzaka, singer of the opening song of the new episodes of Saint Seiya, Nobu Yamada, singer of the classical opening of Saint Seiya and Ricardo Cruz, the only Brazilian member of the superband JAM Project.
