Anime Yuu chooses one more double to the national final

Mauricio Somenzari and Monica Somenzari interpreted a scene from Le Chevalieur D'Eon and conquered the vacancy.
On March 15, the event Anime Yuu made its debut in the cosplay universe in great style. The selective, carried out in Londrina city (state of Parana), in its first edition, revealed one more double to the national final of WCS 2009: the experienced Mauricio Somenzari and Monica Somenzari, world champions of Brazilian WCS in 2006.
The double of siblings conquered the first place with an electrifying performance of a fight scene of Le Chevalier D’Eon, with a performance filled with gun shots and sword duels. The chosen characters were D’Eon de Beaumont and Lia de Beaumont, also siblings at the manga.
Mauricio and Monica had already taken part in the selective Anime Center Verao, on February 14, in Rio de Janeiro. At that time, they conquered the second place and the right to dispute the repechage on the online WCS selective.
With the classification of Mauricio and Monica in Londrina, the double Monica da Silva de Jesus Velozo and Viviane de Oliveira Sabino da Silva, that got the third place in selective Anime Center, and shall dispute the online selective.
The double that got the second place in Anime Yuu, by their turn, will also participate of the online repechage. They are Daniel Correa Camargo and Paula Arnemann Porn, that based their performance on Samurai X to interpretate the characters Kenshin and Tomoe.
Besides the WCS selective, Anime Yuu counted on a cosplay parade, animeke (karaoke with anime songs), Playstation 2 and Wii championship finals, band gigs and a performance by the group Anime Daiko, that plays anime songs. About 2.000 people attended the event.
