AnimePan 2009 defines one more double to the final

The event in Recife city selected one more double to the WCS Brazil 2009 final
Despite a change of place, AnimePan gathered an audience of 250 people in Recife city (Pernambuco State), and selected a double to the great Brazilian final.
The selective, that was supposed to happen on the Parque Theater, was transferred to the Catholic University of Pernambuco, due to an infiltration on the theater's floor, that made the event's realization impossible.
Allan Victor Ferreira Lustosa and Poliana Figueiredo Xenofonte had no problems to win the selective. Allan surprised the audience by getting to the stage dressed as Super Sailor Moon.
The performance with his partner, dressed as Queen Neherenia, kept the audience riveted. The double from Recife won with a difference of 8.5 points from the second place.
Vanessa Marx and Erica Carla de Oliveira, that staged cosplays of Teresa and Claire, from the anime Claymore, got the second place on AnimePan and will try the repechage on the on-line selective.
The participants of the cosplay tournament in Pernambuco were pre-chosen doubles that took part in regional events, components of Brazilian Northeast League. Furthermore, an on-line selective was created to give opportunity for the doubles that lived far from the cities where the regional events took place.
"The subselectives format was great. The fact that we had doubles selected in many Brazilian states enriched the performances and incited the competitively for the final's vacancy", said Stenio Barros de Oliveira, AnimePan's coordinator.
