In the summer sunshine WCS 2009 Preliminary Round was hold at Villepente exhibition hall in Paris suburb in Japan Expo (July 2-5). Japan Expo is one of the biggest Japanese Manga event gathered more than 130000 people for 4days. Not only Manga and Animations but also concert of Japanese musicians and Fashion Shows were performed. In addition was introduced Japanese culture. That's the event which has so much fun of Japanese culture. This year was the memorable 10th event, so joined many authors and musicians (CLAMP, AKB48, Puffy and so on) as guests. It was an enthusiastic big festival in hot summer in Paris WCS 2009 Preliminary Round was held in the afternoon on Saturday July 4th which came the most visitors. Ten teams that selected in the 1st round acquire the participation right of the 2nd round at main stage. Though various themes of contests were held in the event site, there was no stage as eager as WCS Preliminary round. All of teams want France representative showed the greatest stage performance.

Old France representative appeared in the cosplayers! Anne Cesile Martin 2006 representative appeared in [ROMEO AND JULIET]. Pauline Mesa 2004･2005 representative and Auclair Cecile made a new unit appeared in Black Butler.Each teams in the 2nd round did wonderful performance which wore clothes of detail and made impressive stage compositions. It stated at 3p.m. 3,000seats were occupied in main stage, in addition there were so many standing (sitting) audiences behind the seats. Totally there might be about 5,000 people
When it ended the introduction from M.C., the Preliminary Round had started. The hall became dark, and the 1st title was projected on the wide scream in the stage at the same time as music had started. Stage was performed one after another. They used 3minite to be effective and all performance had story and originality. We were enough to know the result of their hard practice. Preeminent acting of [Sailor Moon] team, [The Rose of Versailles] team had taken off the clothes and made the audience excited, Lovely danced [Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch] team, Wonderful detailed dress of [Black Butler] team,･･･Whenever each performance had finished , big claps and shout of joy were sent by audience. The quality was so high that there was no doubt to be chosen every teams as a representative
At last Albanese Cecilia and Turpin Eva played [Magic Knight Rayearth] had acquired France representative. They did the magic tick to name after [Magic Knight] It was a wonderful stage to match with dance and music. They are 2 must do their best as France representative.
At the victory ceremony , the old France representatives had gathered and cheered them. Cecilia and Eva had been moved deeply. We can't wait for WCS 2009 Championship in Japan!
