AKB48 from Akihabara in Tokyo is expanding in nationwide. The first branch group was made at Sakae in Nagoya city.
SKE named after the initial of SaKaE that is an activity base at Sakae in Nagoya.
Yasushi Akimoto a songwriter works as a total producer. SKE48 is an idol group that activity started in July, 2008.
The concept is "The idol who can go to meet".
Their two-hour performances filled with songs, dances and various talks are given 25 times a month on average, mainly on weekends and national holidays, at the SKE48 Theater (Sunshine Studio) on the second floor of Sunshine Sakae, the entertainment complex in downtown Sakae, Nagoya.
As of March 23, 2010 there are 45 members in total: 16 chosen from the first group audition of 2,670 people; 17 chosen from the second group audition of 3,248 people; 12 chosen from the third group audition of 2,396 people.
Their third single "Gommenne, Summer" was released on July 7, 2010.

Japan's premier male voice actor who has performed in many famous Japanese anime such as "Mobile Suit Gundam" (playing Amuro Rei), "The Star of the Giant" (playing Hoshi Hyuma), "Dragon Ball" (playing Yamucha) and the "Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon" series (playing Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask) etc. He has supported the Cosplay Summit since 2004, and is an indelible fixture at the World Cosplay Summit.

Made his pro debut in 1977, known as a vocalist of LAZY and for great songs such as "Akazukin Chan Goyoujin" and "DREAMER". After the group broke up, he made his solo debut as a special effects and animation singer in 1985, sang the theme song of "Dengeki Sentai Changeman". Since then, he has sung a number of special effect and animation songs such as "Sei Toushi Shinwa ~Soldier Dream~", the theme song of "Saint Seiya".
In 1989 the opening song, “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA”, for Dragon Ball Z recorded 1.3 million copies sold. Currently he is in the powerful anisong unit “JAM Project”. Not only active in Japan, but also worldwide in Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Taiwan and others. 2010 is the tenth anniversary of JAM Project and a commemorative album is being made planned for release with performances in Japan and around twenty countries worldwide.
Appearing at the WSC for the second time since 2005.

"Blue-eyed Anime-song singer"from Canada made her debut in Japan on May 27, 2009, with "Asu e no Kizuna", the opening theme song of the TV animated series "Valkyria Chronicles". Her second single "Hatenaki Michi", the ending theme song of the TV animated series "Tegami Bachi", was released on November 25, 2009. The album of cover tunes,”Love Anison: Utattemita", selected from her 300 song repertoire was released on March 3, 2010. The first anniversary single "Mirai e...", the ending theme song of”Senko no Night Raid” was released on May 26, 2010. On Wednesday, July 14, WCS2010 Official Song"La la la, Sekai o Hitotsuni” was released as a single with limited distribution.
With this song HIMEKA ventured into writing music. This up-tempo song for the WCS makes you excited for the WCS. The song embraces the idea that people from various countries can break language and culture barriers and speak in one voice.
