Thailand 1st Preliminary Round
From 2010 the selection of the WCS Thailand national team not only takes place in Bangkok, but also in the historic city of Chiang Mai, which is also known as "the Rose of the North".
The Chiang Mai qualifying round took place during Comic Party 18th in the "central plaza chiangmai airport", the biggest shopping mall in Chiang Mai.
Ten Japanese cosplayers supported by the Foreign Ministry of Japan also participated in this event.
Vice-Consul Abe from the Consulate General of Chiang Mai and the Mayor of Chiang Mai Tassanai Buranupakorn greeted the audience, and five Japanese cosplayers supported by the Foreign Ministry through the JENESYS program judged the performers. In total fourteen teams participated.
The first and second placed teams will participate in the final qualifying round for the WCS Thailand national team at "Oishi coslay 4" held in Bangkok.
